WE BREATH LIFE INTO VACANT HOMES.

Property Owner – Testimonials

I would recommend Homes in Transition to anyone in a similar situation

Tom- Thanks for the nice note. I believe our association with your service did work out very well. Julia was very well liked by us and the neighbors. She kept the house furnished in an attractive appearance for potential buyers. As a result the home has been sold in spite of the slow market with a closing date of May 5, 2015. We can terminate your service as of today. I appreciate your checking it out as well and I would recommend Homes in Transition to anyone in a similar situation.

Best regards, Marcel Reynolds (Los Lunas Homeowner)

It was very reassuring to have someone in the property

Hi Tom, thanks very much.  Please consider this e-mail as my 30 day notice to terminate the Caretaker Agreement with Homes in Transition Inc.  It was very reassuring to have someone in the property during its listing and Lauren tells me the house was looking and showing very well so very much appreciate your services.

Cheers,

David McCaughan

“Tom, I just wanted to say how terrific Bill and Lena [the caretakers HIT placed into the property] were at caring for our house. They kept it looking beautiful and interfaced with the repair process prior to closing and potential buyer’s real estate agents. They were great!

We were very happy with your services

Thank you for everything that you did. We were very happy with your services and all of your staff. I will (and already have) recommended you to other friends of mine who are thinking of moving from and then selling their homes.

You were so professional, understanding, and helpful as well as patient in explaining everything to me.

Cindy,  I wanted to let you and Tom know how appreciative I was with your service.  Although, the “process” did not go all the way through [house sold before HIT placed a Caretaker], it was reassuring to know that I had the option to have someone in my home until it sold.

You were both so professional, understanding, and helpful as well as patient in explaining everything to me.  Had it not sold, I would have definitely looked forward to working with you in the interim.  You have a great organization and great people working there.  I thank you both very much.

Sincerely,

Eve Sooley

Our concerns were negated by your company’s actions!

We arrived in Rio Rancho late Friday night and immediately toured our home on Platina. We were pleasantly surprised to find our home in excellent condition with freshly cleaned carpeting and absolutely no residual pet odor [after your Caretakers relocated from the Property].

Although we did have serious concerns regarding the Caretakers; our concerns were all negated by your company’s actions in honoring your guarantee to return our home to “as good as it was” condition. We thank you for keeping your word and wish you continued success.

Thank you again for your services and support.

Sincerely,
Louis and Rita Nolan

Thanks again to Homes In Transition for all your help!

Tom,  our Realtor Greg, tells me all is well with the Move-out Inspection Report your company performed. Thanks for getting him the keys since we are out of town. Thanks again to Homes In Transition for all your help.

Sometimes our program or our Caretakers miss the mark

Hi Tom,

Thank you very much.  Marcie and I have appreciated your approach to all this. In fact it is refreshing to see a business owner handle situations of this nature with professionalism and a genuine view toward working things out. So, yes, you will indeed have our recommendation.  Also, I wanted to let you know that we will shred the contractual forms you entrusted to us under the confidentiality agreement.  We wish you much success and a very happy holiday.

Thanks again,

Don DeCandia

Follow up –  Hi Tom,  I just wanted to let you know that we received your check this past week and to say thank you very much.  We sincerely appreciate your professionalism in handling this dispute.

Happy holidays to you and best of luck for the new year!

Homeowner of $420,000 property that was HIT Caretaker occupied for less than 6 months

Well it looks like we finally sold the house!  This is our notice to you that closing will be on the 16th of December so the tenants should be out of the house at that point.  Thank you for your help in showing and selling the house.  The last tenants Cheryl and Brian were just great.  Please convey our thanks to them for showing the house so well.

After a year of trying everything else, our house has now sold/closed in just over 2 months.

I just wanted to take a moment to send you and your staff a sincere thank you regarding our property. Homes in Transition had a great deal to do with the increase in potential buyer traffic it took for us to get an offer on our home. After a year of trying everything else, our house has now sold/closed in just over 2 months. It was a true pleasure working with you and your staff. Your professionalism and positive attitudes were refreshing and your willingness to move a caretaker in and out in such short notice was nothing short of miraculous. I would highly recommend your services to others and have in fact already started to do so. Thank you again for all of the hard work and help in selling our home.

Please feel free to use any or all of the above paragraph for your advertising purposes. It has been a pleasure doing business with you.

Sincerely,
Jon, Lisa and Tyler

PS – We paid a $104 water bill at closing yesterday, so hopefully Dee didn’t already pay that as well. If so, then the new home owner will enjoy the credit to their account as those charges and credits are solely attached to the property and not individuals. If she hasn’t paid it, then she can consider it a thank you from Lisa and I for all of her very hard work in cleaning and maintaining our property.

A friend highly recommended Homes in Transition as the solution.

Finding a caretaker for property standing vacant awaiting a sale when the owner in unable to remain in it, is a prime concern to those of us to whom this has happened. Everyone knows there is the possibility of vandalism, undetected leaks and/or various other vacant home problems.

When I found myself in this situation, a friend highly recommended Homes in Transition as the solution. I contacted Tom Schmidt, President of Homes in Transition. From a carefully selected caretakers’ work force, Tom matched caretakers along with their furniture to my match my house. Beautiful furniture, delightful people. All aspects of this happening was handled in a profession and pleasant way.

Thank you, Tom

My house is in better shape than I left it.

Thanks Tom, The house is in better shape because of your involvement . . . I feel terriable she[Caretaker] keeps having things go wrong. I’m grateful she is there and that she and you are giving the house a good shakedown period.

Caretakers were a Significant Factor

Tom, We just signed a Purchase Agreement on our home and I have to tell you your company made an impact on the marketing process.  We had not had much traffic until you placed a Caretaker into the property.

I believe your Caretakers were a significant factor in getting us to where we are today.
